This purse is made with good quality leather, especially for those who are particular about leather. It wears well and gains that character real leather gets with age and use. The strap is comfortable and soft with the rolled leather.This purse does have a very basic holster in it, however when not used it lays flat against the side of purse and is out of the way. You could also remove it completely pretty easily, either by removing the stitches or cutting the straps. It's not a holster that provides a lot of coverage for your gun, and personally, I wouldn't trust it when used alone. But the center divider in the purse is made of a firm backing that would help keep any items in the other side of the purse away from the holster side. Reholstering will be a challenge, definitely not a holster you can reholster smoothly or easily. I do also wish the strap was slash proof if your going to carry in it, I think the strap could easily have a slash proof core added to it.I've had the purse for over 6 months now, and overall really like it!I was very pleased with my purse when I received it. Good condition, great color, real leather and the strap hits my hip perfectly at 5’1. It’s roomy enough for all your daily items. Highly recommend.I saw this purse in Texas and regretted not purchasing it! I went to the StS website and they were sadly sold out. I did a last ditch effort and found it on Amazon! It is absolutely beautiful! But the purse is so rigid it's hard to fit a lot of stuff in it (And I don't have TOO much-but a standard size woman's wallet was a tight fit.
